THICKENER AET-719

Thickener AET-719 is an alkali-swellable acrylic thickener and thickens instantly when neutralized to a pH between 8.0 and 9.0 with very high aqueous thickening efficiency. The product is provided in latex form with very low viscosity and is suitable for most water-based products.

Method of Use and Example

If the system to be thickened has a pH below 5.0, AET-719 can be added directly with gentle agitation followed by the addition of an alkali solution to adjust the pH to between 8.0 and 9.0 for the best thickening efficiency. On the other hand, if the system to be thickened has a higher pH, it is recommended to dilute AET-719 with at least same amount of water for a better dispersion. An alkali solution is then added to adjust the pH to between 8.0 and 9.0. Application areas include any latex polymers, detergents, defoamers, cosmetic products, etc.
